Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I wash my encasings?
Current research indicates that mattress encasements should remain in place. Wipe down with damp cloth twice a year. Pillow encasings twice a year or as needed. Do not bleach.

How often should I wash my bedding?
All bedding above mattress encasing (i.e., sheets, pillow cases, blankets and bed spread) should be washed in hot water every 7-14 days.

Should I use a vaporizer?
No. Humidity levels should be 20-50 percent. Vaporizers increase humidity levels and dust mites thrive in warm, moist places.

How do I know what filters fit my Honeywell Air Cleaner?
A silver plate on the bottom of your air cleaner includes your machine’s model number. Once you know your model number, you can easily determine which filters to order.

How often do I replace my Honeywell charcoal pre-filter?
Under normal circumstances, every 3 months.

Do I need to replace my child’s stuffed animals?
Replace with washable ones or store in a zippered plastic bag for your child’s protection.
